Refund Policy

At MSK Australia, we know life can be unpredictable. We want to be fair and flexible while also recognising that hosting high-quality events involves significant upfront costs. Below you’ll find our refund policy for different types of events.

IN-PERSON EVENTS

DOMESTIC

We make every effort to support delegates when circumstances change. Because venue, catering, and supplier costs increase as the event approaches, our refund policy is staggered:

• 100% refund (minus a $30 administration and card processing fee) for cancellations 30+ days before the event.

• 80% refund (minus a $30 administration and card processing fee) for cancellations within 30 days of the event.

Delegates are also welcome to transfer their registration to another person at no additional cost.

INTERNATIONAL

We understand travel to international events can be complex. Due to contractual obligations with venues and suppliers, refunds are generally not available once bookings are confirmed. However, where possible, we are happy to:

• Offer a credit towards a future MSK Australia event, or

• Allow a transfer to another delegate, or

• Consider requests on a case-by-case basis where flexibility is possible.

We also strongly recommend travel insurance that includes event registration protection to give you peace of mind.

ONLINE EVENTS

• 100% refund (minus a $10 administration and card processing fee) is available up to 24 hours before the event.

• If you miss the live session, don’t worry — all our webinars include 60 days of on-demand access to recordings, and we’re always happy to answer questions afterwards.

OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES

• Refunds apply to registration fees only. MSK Australia is not responsible for airfares, accommodation, or other travel-related costs.

• Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 14 business days of approval.

• No refunds are available for non-attendance or partial attendance.

• In exceptional circumstances, the organisers may consider refunds outside these terms at their discretion.

COVID-19 & UNFORSEEN EVENTS

• If an event is cancelled or rescheduled due to COVID-19 or other circumstances beyond our control (e.g. natural disaster, government restrictions, industrial action), we will provide a full refund, credit, or alternative event option.

• If you feel unwell prior to attending, please contact us — we may be able to offer online or recorded access as an alternative.

Terms & Conditions

Photography & Recording

Delegates may take photos or short recordings for personal, non-commercial use, provided this does not disrupt the event or infringe on intellectual property. Commercial use requires prior written approval from MSK Australia.

MSK Australia may also take photographs or video recordings during the event. By attending, you consent to the use of your image and likeness in future promotional materials, including print and digital media. If you prefer your image not to be used, please email [email protected]  before the event.

Health & Safety

The health and wellbeing of our delegates is a priority. MSK Australia will ensure appropriate health and safety procedures are in place at all venues. Delegates are responsible for:

• Following health and safety instructions provided at the event.

• Reporting accidents, incidents, or concerns immediately to MSK Australia staff or venue personnel.

• Taking reasonable care of their own safety and respecting the safety of others.

Program Changes

MSK Australia reserves the right to make changes to the program, speakers, schedule, or venue if required. In the unlikely event of full cancellation, registered delegates will be offered a refund or credit towards a future event.

Delegate List & Privacy

A delegate list including name, organisation, and region/state may be shared with event sponsors for post-event follow-up.

Personal data collected during registration will be used only for event administration, communication, and marketing in accordance with MSK Australia’s Privacy Policy.

Liability

Attendance at MSK Australia events is at your own risk. MSK Australia and its partners accept no liability for loss, damage, injury, or expenses incurred by delegates, except where required by law.

International delegates are strongly encouraged to arrange travel insurance that includes event registration, travel, and accommodation coverage.

Force Majeure

MSK Australia shall not be liable for any failure or delay in delivering the event due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, strikes, or transport disruption.
